ROLE SUMMARY
The Senior Content Designer (UX Writer) delivers content design solutions across digital banking applications. The role involves creating, evaluating, and refining language used across tools, apps, prototypes, and websites while ensuring compliance with accessibility and regulatory standards.
The contractor will collaborate with Product, Design, Legal, and Compliance partners in a highly regulated financial environment. Approximately 40% of time is spent in meetings with internal stakeholders.
MUST-HAVE HARD SKILLS
• 5+ years of experience in digital content design / UX writing
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Figma experience
• MS Word proficiency
• Familiarity with Canadian Government Plain Language standards
• Experience working under Accessible Canada Act guidelines
SOFT SKILLS
• Willingness to collaborate
• Self-motivated, flexible, organized and accountable
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Ability to respond to and implement feedback
• Passion for experience design
NICE-TO-HAVE
• Financial Institution (FI) experience
• Public-facing website experience
• Background in design-related disciplines (UX, HCI, psychology, design strategy, etc.)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Design & Strategy
• Create and refine UX content across digital tools and applications
• Apply user-centered design methodologies
• Ensure content meets accessibility and regulatory standards
Product Collaboration
• Participate in ideation, research, planning, and design phases
• Collaborate with Experience Design Leads, Product Owners, Engineers, Legal and Compliance teams
• Manage stakeholder communications and reviews
Governance & Compliance
• Ensure content aligns with internal policies and regulatory requirements
• Maintain confidentiality of information
• Escalate issues where appropriate
• Support cross-functional initiatives as a content design subject matter expert
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$73.00 and CA$83.00
